    Hi

    i'm kayaking a year , I done the liffey descent in 2013 and I've done 3 other smaller races .

    where is the best whitewater rivers in Ireland ?

    +1 on this. There is an Irish white water race league, look at some of the races on them and be honest with yourself if you think you're ready

    +2 on above. The only thing I would add is never attempt any white water river solo. Hook up with a kayak club. There is usually a couple of dedicated white water junkies to be found. They will have the knowledge to help you run some white water safely. There is also a lad in Ballina, Co. Mayo that runs http://www.paddleandpedal.ie/ that is worth a shout.
