Mapping 4G frequencies - meteor/vodafone

    Operators don't seem to be making clear what frequencies are in use on their 4G networks in specific areas.

    We can take this into our own hands by checking that channel we are connected to.

    On the iphone in the phone app type *3001#12345#* and go to "cell service info" and channel 3 indicates you are using 1800mhz.

    I have attached a screen shot of my emobile 4G connection indicating i am using channel 3 (1800mhz).

    The 800mhz band is spread out over channels 18,19 and 20.

    It'll be interesting to see what channel vodafone is using.

    So if people could run this test and add what channel they are on along with their network and location.
