You picked good quality parts,it is a solid build. Some might suggest swapping out Gpu to AMD r9 280x.
But apart from that you're good to go from what I see.

Amazon have a good selection of monitors. Maybe have a look before pulling the trigger.

Looks absolutely fine you've added a motherboard that supports overclocking and SLI, however the CPU can't really be overclocked. You need the i5-4670K) for that, which will cost slightly more.

If you don't have a requirement for SLI or overclocking you could certainly shave €50+ off the build by changing the motherboard to a B75 Pro or soething like that and getting a lower wattage PSU.

If you would like to keep all options open then I'd just change the processor as per above.

I'd Recommend the r9 290 over the 770 as well for an extra 40 euro and as Marco said about the processor.

As Marco said you can cut costs on the mobo and PSU. Personally I'd stick with your current list. Least if you decided to add another graphics card down the line you are ready to rock.

Didn't see windows in your list, so you might not be able to squeeze the extra 40 for the r9 290 . But if you can go ahead... It's Christmas.

Thanks for the responses. Regarding R9 290, would this be advisable? Do you have any opinions about this card and the issues surrounding heat and noise? As advised, also looking at this: R9 280X

I may go the way of getting 4670k, not sure yet.

Are there any other issues I should be aware of, e.g. cables I should order, etc.? Thanks

I'd def get the 4670K, it gives you the option for overclocking in the future, even if you don't plan to now. Get the none K version and you will never have the choice, other than getting a new cpu.

With regards to the powercooler r9 290. You mention heat and noise. Powercooler aim more for attractive price point than quality cooling and noise reduction.

There won't be any custom cooler R9 290/R9290X cards out for a few weeks yet, so I'd probably get a good 770 GTX if your are looking at a card in the performance bracket, and noise and immediate availability are important (or spend a bit less and go with a good R9 280X).

If you do not, you will regret it every day of this computers life. It is criminally easy to overclock CPUs these days and very safe.

Aside from that, your build looks great. As already mentioned you can save by going for a cheaper mobo and PSU if you don't mind losing the ability to xfire/sli in the future.

I have used the exact 770 from your original list. Is a good card. Good cooling and quiet had most games very high mp ,ultra single player.

What are your thoughts so far.

I definitely will go with the 4670k. As for the card, it might come down to between the 280x and 770. I am not in a rush to purchase so I may well see what happens on the 290 front. Am I right in saying the 770 and r280x are pretty similar? But the 280x is cheaper?

If I buy from hardwareversand what is the story with warranties, etc.?

The 280x is the better card imo. They offer similar performance in games but the extra 1gb of memory and possible mantle performance improvements in future would sway me towards the 280x. The cheaper price as well of course.

Much the same as the 7970 vs the 680 gtx. Both cards are basically rebadged versions of these anyway.
