Pram with Aer Lingus for child over 2

    Hi,
According to Aer Lingus I'll need to pay for a pram with a child that is 2+, its only for children under 2 that get the pram checked for free.

However, a while back my brother was going to Belgium with his wife and kid who was 2.5 at the time, and the Aer Lingus girl at the desk said they would NEVER charge for a pram - regardless of the childs age.

So maybe it's up to the person at the desk, I dunno, anyone have a similar experience and did you have to pay or not ?

    Thanks

edit - for short haul flight...

Never paid for a pram with any airline.

Little one was 3 and there wasn't even a question asked - she sat in it, we rocked up, they took the pram and it was there at the other end.

We went a couple of months ago with our 2.5 year old, didn't even ask if I was allowed the pram. Just brought it and there was no questions asked, just given the tag at check in and left it at the door of the plane then.
