    Terms & Conditions

    • 1. To participate in the promotion, you must perform the latest Nintendo 3DS system update and register a Nintendo Network ID on your Nintendo 3DS family system (including Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo 3DS XL or Nintendo 2DS systems) between 10 December 2013 and 31 January 2014, 23:59 UTC . You can create a new Nintendo Network ID on your Nintendo 3DS family system or link a Nintendo Network ID that you have already created on a Wii U console.
    • 2. All participants will receive a free download code for the game Super Mario Bros. Deluxe (Virtual Console) for Nintendo 3DS between 13 February and 28 February 2014. The download code will be sent by email to the email address registered with their Nintendo Network ID. When creating your Nintendo Network ID, please do not forget to complete the process by following the link in the confirmation email sent to the email address indicated during the registration.
    • 3. The download code can be used to download the game Super Mario Bros. Deluxe (Virtual Console) from Nintendo eShop to any Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo 3DS XL or Nintendo 2DS system. The download code expires on 30 April 2014, 23:59 UTC.
    • 4. You can only participate in this promotion once. Acceptance of the network-related terms and privacy policy is required.
    • 5. This promotion is organised by Nintendo of Europe GmbH, Nintendo Center, 63760 Grossostheim.

    I already logged in to Nintendo network on 3DS when they released the latest firmware version so presume I'll get an email in February without doing anything extra.

    With this and the Mario 3D promotion, Nintendo really are giving good value this Christmas.

    Also, Mario Bros. 3 is coming to the eshop on the 26th. Don't mind if I do....again.

    I think Day 1 of the promotion is the day the patch went live (it's back-dated tothe 10th) so you're good - there's some Ts and Cs specifically to put your worries at ease, will dig them up if I get time.

    "Don’t worry if you have created an ID or linked your current Wii U ID since the update on December 10th – you will already count for the promotion!"

    If they give us Cross-Buy on the eShop so Mario Bros 3 activates on the account rather than the console, celebrating the unified Nintendo Network ID by letting us play VC titles on both for 1 price they may just have bought my soul...

    That sounds too good to be real! They're a good company but I doubt they're that good!

    That's what I have been hoping too, only time (or an intermediary Nintendo Direct) will tell...
