WWE Smackdown spoilers for 20th December 2013

Orton made his way to the ring and cut a promo. Orton said that winning the championship awarded him nothing but a match with Daniel Bryan. Cena interrupted Orton. Cena said he's out here because he's gonna prevent Orton from looking like a fool. Cena said that since Orton is champion everyone is watching him and after him. Cena called Orton a giant pussbag. Cena said Orton took the easy way out by winning by DQ on Monday. Bryan made his way out to a huge pop. Bryan said that Orton is afraid of Bryan beating him. Bryan said that when Cena gets his rematch Cena will win and that Cena will grant Bryan a title shot. The Shield came out to attack then Punk ran out to even the odds. Vickie came out to massive boos to announce the main event which is Shield vs Punk, Bryan and Cena.

1. Big E Langston defeated Jack Swagger. Langston won with the big ending in a quick match.

2.Brie Bella defeated Tamina. AJ sat in on commentary. Brie rolled up Tamina for the win and then pushed AJ at ringside.

Bad News Barrett did a promo ringside.

3. Sin Cara defeated Drew McIntyre.

4. Tensai defeated Brodus Clay. Tensai won after a distraction from the Funadactyls and Xavier Woods. After the match Woods and Tensai cleared the ring.

5. Eric Rowan and Luke Harper defeated Cody Rhodes and Goldust in a non-title match. Great tag match. After the match the Wyatts tried to attack but Bryan made the save which led to…

6. Daniel Bryan and The Rhodes brothers defeated They Wyatt Family. Bryan hit the running knee to win.

Damien Sandow cut a promo about canceling Christmas. Miz came out and said where he comes from they celebrate Christmas. It led to a match.

7. Damien Sandow defeated The Miz. Sandow won by rolling up and hooking the tights.

8. Fandango defeated Kofi Kingston. Fandango won with the top rope leg drop.

Backstage, Renee Young started to interview Bryan when The Wyatts attacked. They beat Bryan down and threw him off a ledge out back. That changed the main event to a handicap match.

9. John Cena and CM Punk defeated The Shield by disqualification. The Shield ganged up on Punk to get DQed. The Shield took out Punk and hit the triple powerbomb on Cena. Big E Langston made the save and had a stare down with Roman Reigns to close the show.

Dark Match

Cena sold the attack from the Shield. Orton came out and said he would grant Cena his rematch right now.

John Cena defeated Randy Orton by disqualification.

Omackeral

Tensai defeated Brodus Clay.


Cannot believe they gave this away on free TV.

So The Miz is a face right. The last 2 shows he has been a face (this smackdown and the following xmas raw.)

Ive never seen someone turn so much in the space of a 5/6 weeks

Yep, yet you'll still have people out saying "Bryan will get his moment", or "look, see!" whenever he interacts with a main eventer.

Back to this dead end feud for him.

Eric Rowan and Luke Harper defeated Cody Rhodes and Goldust and the main event were worth watching. The crowd in particular were so super hot for Punk and Cena teaming. The show closes strong.

It is and it varies things up. Remember when Rhyno would use the Gore (Reign's Spear) several times in a match? To use video game parlence it was both his signature move and his finisher. By using it as a signature move it under cut it as a finisher.

Superman punch is epic! Reigns is gonna be huge! He has that something special, a feud with him and Big E if done right could propel them both to the next level, I also have a feeling Big E will be huge but it wont happen as quickly as Reigns.

TBH, now that they've unified the WWE/ WHW titled, what I'd love them to do is to elevate the IC belt to it's former glory and to resurrect King of the Ring with the winner becoming the US champion for 12 months. It'd allow both the IC belt and US belt to have creditability and importance.

Watch Rollins vs Cena. For definite one of the best matches this year. It is akin to Cena-Punk from February's Raw.

Great performance by Rollins who needs that as everyone and their Mum knows WWE haven't got much lined up for him once the Shield break up and Reigns feuds with Ambrose.

Fantastic end to Smackdown

The last match in particular needs to be watched. I was shocked to see Cena have such a competitive match with Rollins.

Enjoyed the two matches before it as well but main main event was brilliant.

Dolph's pink hair was a nice way around the no blood in PG WWE for the post match beat down by Orton. Enjoyed the match as well.
