Ive just built a new rig with this mobo a few minutes ago and it wont post, there's a green light on the mobo at the bottom but otherwise nothing. Checked for almost everything in this guide above bar a bent pin on the CPU,

    http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/261145-31-perform-steps-posting-post-boot-video-problems

I have a funny feeling its the front panel plugs, my case doesn't have a + or - P LED but Ive put the rest in according to the manual to the best of my knowledge. Just did the paperclip trick but it didn't work, fan on the PSU didn't even start, but as soon as I unplugged it and put the connection back into the mobo the green light came on again.

PSU is a OCZ OCZ-ZS650W-UK ZS Series 650W '80 Plus Bronze'.

    AMD FX6300

    Crucial Tactical 8GB Kit (4GBx2), Ballistix 240-pin DIMM, DDR3-1866

    1 SSD and 2 HDDs, 3 fans.

PS, Can someone tell me which 2 pins this guy shorted to get the system to power on ?

See attached image taken from page 1-24 of the manual. The pins labeled "PRSW" are the power switch.

Thank you :) , I did read the manual (well, the important parts at least :p) but its nice to see a bigger picture of it. I put the pins in exactly as the manual said to the best of my knowledge, tried turning them the other way in case the polarity was wrong but apparently it doesn't matter for the on button, was told to pull the reset button out and the PC should start but might go into a boot loop, no joy either.

Don't suppose you have this mobo and can shed some light on exactly how you entered your pins or any other info I might be missing ?.

Don't have it I'm afraid , could you test with a different PSU you know to be working ?

Yup, just tried my old one and it works, looks like an RMA for this PSU so. My old PSU is a Hiper 580w Type R, it has enough juice for what Im running but its almost 6 years old and from before a time when everyone made sure their PSU was 80+ Bronze. I cant resist not using this new rig right now, and a new PSU wont arrive until after xmas, just hope my old PSU doesn't damage any of my new components while I wait for a new one.
