Still chasing disadvantaged area payment

So I'm still chasing a disadvantaged area payment owed to me.

The initial delay with the payment months ago was put down to the fact some third party company was redigitising land parcels

Naturally the next problem was an overclaim by me of 0.01 of a hectare (I've ranted about that here before)

Now for the previous five weeks (I **** you not after ringing the department I have been assured the payment will be with me the week after

So I rang again yesterday and I was told that "the last payment run just didn't take" whatever the hell that means - but that the next run was due to go out at midnight and I will have it in my account tomorrow (which is today if you know what I mean)

Check the bank balance - still no sign of the payment wtf???

Thing is i believed this person, she seemed reasonable etc - Am I missing something, are they trying to hold on to the money so it goes past a deadline or something - do I need to send something in writing just to have proof I've tried to claim it before the end of the year?

Its unbelievably frustrating - how can a run of electronic funds transfers not take for 6 weeks in a row - I budget for this, it occurs to me if I missed one of their deadlines I'd be fined a percentage of the payment etc yet they can dawdle and dribble all they like......anyway, 2 questions, anyone in the same boat here? anyone have any advice........ as I'm getting sick of being told what can only be lies no matter how convincing they are

I am awaiting payment, I stocked a new herdnumber separate from my fathers this year and didn't put cows calves into that herdnumber until May21st 2013... 7 month rule is 7 months and 1 day so im cleared for payment Dec 22nd, no payment run due over Xmas so you can say first week in January 14 when the offices are up and running before im paid.. could do with it too!!

Drive down to your local department office. bring all your bank details and any of the paperwork involved. Its harder for them to bullsh1t you face to face. I had to do this last year, it worked.

There is some serious sh1te going on with payments atm (no pun intended) I'm still waiting on reps 4 and disadvantage money here. Who do we have to contact? Anyone have an email address for that sunday world reporter that does the crime stuff? If we complain to the dept we feel that we are drawing an inspection on ourselves. Someone is skimming OUR money off somewhere and using it to fill a hole someplace else for as long as possible.

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

Did you try a local td or councillor ? Its fair crap to be left waiting without knowing when its coming . There should be no excuse to have a set date for payment and the dept should be able to stick to it .

I've got 1,800 SFP and 825 STAP in 2013, no DAS, no AEOS, qualify for both. Like I said, wouldn't notice.

They could replace a lot of the staff in there with an efficient computer system. It would be much better.

It's a work to rule. It won't affect any farmer. Inspections will continue
Bob, email with a read reply will always get a prompt response.

I would just assume an email would get lost and never be responded to. When you dont have a individual contact I usually dont email

The beauty of emails in the Dept is that they are there forever. If you send it to someone and they think the query is not their problem, they will forward it and usually cc their boss.

    Paper tends to get lost....

It can take 5 working days for a bank to credit your account. But it really should be there by now. 1890 200 506 Portlaoise.

I presume you've this on speed dial already....

I got mine this morning too, badly wanted! Just have to chase AEOS1 pyment next.

Thinking ahead to the end of AEOS1 there could be an issue with forced understocked farmers like myself not qualifying under stocking regulations. Takes time to build stock numbers on open commonage (if we're ever allowed).

I see a PT in my near future :D

Well how are ppl doing? On the + side I got 75% reps this week, dept said it was paid on fri 24th so aib were hiding it until yesterday. Heard of one bank hiding it for 8 days. On the - side due a nitrate inspection, and the place is after having a very wet winter. What next?

Just on a side note is it true that hectacres sheds were set to Larry? Conflict of interests anybody?

Sounds like more BS to me, Darragh Mc Cullagh reports that John Dillons son are feeding a lot of cattle for Goodman. No one would want to be judging Darragh by his farming I hear.
John Bryan was an intensive suckler farmer when he started as president, I suppose he's entitled to take advantage of any opportunities that come his way out of that now.
