Dublin airport Christmas weekend

Hi all

I'm flying out to Lanzarotte this Saturday afternoon about 2pm. I'm guessing the airport will be pretty busy this weekend but I'm not sure. Anyone have any experience with flying this close to Christmas. What time should i arrive at the airport at for a 2pm flight.

Like peak summer I would be there 2 hours before given the weekend that's in it.

at least 2 hours before flight... book the airport genie for the fast pass through security... its super... E4.50 pp and includes a free coffee

Thanks for the replies. I've never heard of airport genie before and had to google it. Definitely a good idea but it looks like I'm going to arrive at the airport about 3 hours before departure so it won't be needed this time. I'll definitely bookmark it for future use.

Does this not get you through the boarding scanner only? Don't you still have to queue to get through security with everyone else?

I have closed this thread as it was in relation to the week-end prior to Christmas 2013 and the arrival time recommended prior to departure of flight.
