    Hey guys,

Just thought I'd stick this up.. I'm just after leaving Sandyford and the road conditions are very poor - high winds, heavy rain, lots of surface water and the beginnings of flooding - you can see it moving in sheets across the road :(

Be careful guys - lights on, slow down and take it handy!

N11 at fosters avenue down to one lane already about 20 minutes ago. It may not have affected the other side of the road where most commuters are going southbound but I'd advise keep an eye on the AA

Already had the car slide on me twice in the rain. I don't even want to attempt driving an 89 Daihatsu Charade in this weather either, so its been put away for a bit!

Yep, and remember this applies to the mornings too - lights are to be seen as well as see!

Crappy sidelights are no use on a dark/wet morning! :(

Who wouldn't have their lights on at 5pm mid December? It's pitch dark at this time storm or not...

See my post above.. minimal lights are just as bad/useless as no lights. The amount of eejits tooling around like this because they are in "an urban area" is ridiculous!

lol. you'd be surprised. There is a massive amount of "drivers" that obviously rather prefer to invest their money in raindeer horns and stupid red nose piece of crap than fix their lights. :D

I'll drive her like she was a 1.4 LX tonight.

Fecking work Isuzu was trying out the twerking craze at a junction in galway earlier waiting on lights to turn green.

    Scary stuff

Do Irish people think they save money by driving around in the dark at 4.00pm with no lights on?
And how hard is it to fit a new bulb on most cars? I just don't get the mentality of it.

Lots of other Irish people make up for it by driving around with their fogs on permanently. Cos it looks cool, y'know.

Front fogs, how do they make up for it? Never had an issue with those personally. It's the rear ones left on by the Micra doing 50kmh hugging the white line in no fog do my head in.

Sorry but the front fogs on a micra are blinding, lets stay on topic anyhow.

Also guys, be careful with all the flying debris and branches, especially on the back roads. Had to get out of the car 4 times this evening to clear things from my path!

Was going to go meet someone tonight but will leave it, chances of an accident with another car/bike/person/fallen tree are just too big.
I can feel the house shaking - it's a night in for me instead :D

I love those; they're a handy sign that the driver isn't paying attention.
