[ULSTER BANK] Changes to uFirst accounts??

I was checking something on ulster bank's website and saw the following notice:

IMPORTANT NOTICE:
THE UFIRSTGOLD ACCOUNT WILL NO LONGER BE AVAILABLE FOR SALE AFTER 9.45PM ON SATURDAY THE 11TH JANUARY 2014.
APPLICATIONS SUBMITTED AFTER THIS TIME WILL NOT BE PROCESSED.

Any idea what is happening? I assume they are sunsetting the account type. Are they planning to launch a replacement service and transition existing uFirst customers over or just killing it in favour of focusing on what they should be doing (i.e. banking).

Existing uFirst/uFirstGold account holders shouldn't be affected.
I suppose they might be offered to switch over new account type, if it would be available in the future.

I won't be staying with them if they close off the Ticketbastard benefit. I'll be moving to Permanent TSB
