Error entering pasport number - how big a problem?

    Hi,

following on from the useful advice I received on this thread, I went ahead and booked flights online.

However, stupidly, I entered the passport number incorrectly for my own details (got the other 3 done ok:o).

The process all went through as booked (I kind of thought that it would be noticed that the details didn't match), got my confirmation email etc, but how big a problem is this? The kind of problem that stops me getting on the plane, or costs me an arm and a leg to fix at the airport (or in advance)?

There's a helpline I can call (UK number), and that's no problem, if I need to do that.

Shouldn't be a big issue to fix. Call them, and the asgents should be able to edit the erronous data. If worst comes to worst, the check-in agents will swipe the passport data anyway and should rectify the errors.

Definitely correct this now. Some airlines won't let you on if your entered details don't match your actual travel documents.
