Car is 6 years old and has had 3 owners! Value seems to be below the minimum market value as determined by Revenue. Also car was only transferred in to a new owners name on the 5th of December.

3 owners in 6 years is nothing to be alarmed about. It's the duration of ownership you need to check.

Like any used car you would need to have it checked out by someone who knows their ways around cars. The Grande Punto is in no way a bad car, it shares a lot with the current generation Opel Corsa. Cars transfer most probably means that it was recently sold and the advert hasn't been updated.

So could be privately owned by someone in the garage who is selling it? Would that not mean it actually has had 2 owners?

Price does seem to be good; too good to be true!!

Thanks. I would certainly bring it to get checked out by a mechanic i know.

Anyone dealt with that garage before? Would they allow me to take it off site to get it checked before purchase?

Depends, some will allow you to bring your own mechanic while others will allow you take it too them. If they refuse both then walk away as they may be hiding something.

Would be better if I could bring it to my guy so he can put it up on the ramp. Agree that if they aren't willing to do either then will walk away.

Will ask when I ring them.

This dealer use to be Ashtown Cars and is now David Quigley Cars.

Anyone know anything about either? Change of name would be a bit worrying.

I know nothing about them, but personally any business that does not have a land line phone number listed I approach with caution.
