My phone, bought from Hong Kong, broke down in July, sent for repair, it's being returned to me after 6 long months, hit with taxes again! What can I do? I have paid taxes already in January. Thanks!

show them the correspondance you've had and also show them the details of the previous entry.

Have you still got the tax receipt from the first time to show as proof??

Yes, I have everything. Even I have taken pictures of the phone when sending it back. What happened since is the DHL guy came to my door, he didn't know about the customs. After I had mentioned about the payment to him, he took away the package and according to the tracking it's back in Dublin. Even it was put on hold because I told the DHL CC that I'm not happy with the charges. I want the phone badly now (been in repair for 6 months) so I left no choice, rang them yesterday again and paid for customs.
(Phone was hit by a flat rate customs in January. But it's been paid.)
Would it make sense to claim my money back(talking about 23 euros)? Obviously the phone is about half value of its original price(would they need the original invoice in the claim back process), 1 year in IT is a long time, I don't even know whether it's repaired to 100% working. I have the An Post slip, sent it registered(€9.60) but it's not trackable after 6 months. This phone a pain in the hole for me now, I've regretted it big time!
