    My kids watch the above channel which according to lyngsat is on transponder 11456 v 20050 yet i pick it up on transponder 11455 v 20047 which is not listed as a transponder on & east, any explantion as I'm curious?

    The exact frequency, as given by Kingofsat HERE, is actually 11455.50 so Lyngsat have just rounded it up to 11456. The percentage difference in symbol rates is tiny and makes no material difference and can be fractionally above or below the published figure.

    Thank you Brian, taking note of the EIRP values which equate to a 1m+ dish for my location in cork how am i able to get it on an 80cm dish and even in todays awful weather it is booming in?

    Hi kooga,

    Not sure what EIRP chart you use but the one I have seen HERE bases its recommended dish sizes on an LNB with a noise figure of 0.7db. You may have an LNB with a much lower noise figure than this, possibly 0.1db or 0.2db.

    EIRP values are 40-46 so a dish 80cm - 120cm. My dish size is borderline buit really strong signal. I wish all TPs were like that.
