If you buy 120mm 8mm diameter express nails, fill the centre of it with rawl plug the length of the express nail, then drill your 8mm hole hammer in your express nail till flush with the wall and screw your curtain poles into that, using fixers that grip on the plasterboard just wont do especially with the weight of curtains.
If you cannot buy the lengths of the rawl plug strips just push in one after another and cut off excess if needed.
