    What's the difference?

    Mheg5 is , in a nutshell , the digital equivalent of teletext ... though there is a little more to it.
    Its supposed to be mandatory for saorview , so if the both TV's are saorview approved then both should have it.

    CI is a slot for a common interface card , a system whereby some premium services can be had on the TV if you purchase a card.
    Not really of much use in this country as far as I know.

    MHP stands for Multimedia Home Platform , again , not really much use in this country as there are very few if any interactive TV services available here.
    This could have been used instead of Mheg5 for RTE's aertel service , but they chose not to go that way. See the saortv link above.
