Disc Replacement Surgery

    Hopefully going to get replacement surgery on my lower back L4 & L5. Has anybody been through this or have any opinions good or bad on it. Was told it's a fairly new procedure.

    Hi rubygirl. Don't have any experience with disc replacement but just had spinal fusion this day last week for l4/5 and l5/s1 and can't believe how good I am a week after. Once you have a good surgeon I would take their advice and go with it. I had suffered far too long with it. I asked about the replacement and was told it was a fairly new procedure alright but because I was having two discs removed it wasn't really an option anyway. Pm me if you want the name of my surgeon, he is a miracle worker!
