    At Christmas?

We just bought three 20 bottle boxes of Coors, 6 bottles of wine, 2 bottles of Baileys, a bottle of Smirnoff and a few others.

    Too little, too much?

There's never any drink in my house at Christmas! Maybe the odd bottle of wine that someone might have gotten for secret santa, but that's it. I do my drinking in clubs.

Three slabs of Heineken usually gets me through the week.

Spend exactly €12.95 on a bottle of JD. The pints of ice I get for free.

Best investment I ever made was that hipflask.

Stopped stocking up for Christmas as I end up drinking it all quicker. I find if just go down and buy it as I want it, I drink less.

There'll only probably be 3 people at max drinking it. ;)

A bit similar. I never gave much thought to the insane quantities of alcohol stacked around supermarkets this time of year.

I still don't think I get it. Do people just adopt raging alcoholism for the week? How does it work? Is it Heineken with breakfast or drinking every night?

Perhaps I'm being unkind, is the house jammed to the rafters with relations?

I'll probably be drinking almost every day from Thursday until after New Years ( maybe a dry day or two between Christmas and New Years) an awful lot of it will be in pubs so don't really stock up much for Christmas bar maybe a a slab or two of Bavaria. I've no idea what I'll spend but it will be a lot.

For instance I spent around 200 euro between drink and eating while drinking and after from Thursday night to Saturday night last week.

I love the whole session of Christmas though brilliant craic, most if all you can't beat the couple of sneaky ones after mass in the local on Christmas Eve with the family!

Was up North this morning on a bit of business, and to ease the pain of being there I stopped into Sainsbury's on the way back. 3 craft ales and stouts for £5. Spent £60 on a lovely half trolley selection of pale ales, stouts, porters and bitters.

    On Friday usually 2 bottles of Spaten....€2.35 x2 = €4.70

Perhaps a bottle of wine on a Saturday = €10

Just shy of €15 per week / €60 per month.

Edit: Christmas - about 6 bottles of wine, 12 pack of Spaten, bottle of Baileys and usually I have enough Whiskey for some Irish Coffee!

Bottle of wine to have with dinner on the 25th e10-15 depending on what's there.

6 pack of decent beer which will more than likely last a couple of nights e10-15 again I reckon.

My Wife doesn't like wine or beer so I'll get her in a couple of bottles of West Coast Cooler - around a fiver a pop.

So e40 quid will more than likely cover it.

I'm going to get a bottle of tia maria and a bottle of vodka for my christmas drinks. The two bottles should do me a few days. My ma makes her own wine so there's probably about 50 bottles in, if I run short.

I bought my father a good bottle of whiskey once for xmas. Cost me around €100.

It's the only time I've ever bought anything in an off licence.

I do my drinking in the pub. If I can't afford to go the pub then I don't drink.

It's unlikely I'll have any drink over xmas this year as I can't afford any nights out.

    €188 a week... :P
