    Here is one I tried a few years ago. Steep the crushed carapils and roasted barley which are put in a muslin bag, in about 3L of 70C water in a suacepan for 30 min. Add this wort to the boiler and rinse out the muslin bag woth some more 70C water too. Discard the muslin bag grains. If you have a boiler start with about 26L including your wort from the steeping grains and you should end up with about 23L ater 60 min boil time

    2.5Kg dark malt extract
    500g roasted barley
    300g carapils
    25g magnum hops 14% alpha for 60 min
    Yeast Nottingham or US-05
    OG 1045
    FG 1011
    4.7% alc. v
