BTEA and working during the summer

My bf and I are currently getting BTEA, I'm doing a level 5 FETAC course, he's doing a level 6. We're both applying for college for September. My bf and I are currently getting BTEA, I'm doing a level 5 FETAC course, he's doing a level 6. We're both applying for college for September. I'm wondering what happens during the summer with our payments. I know that during the academic year we can work without it affecting our payments, but if we were to work during the summer would that make us ineligible for BTEA in September? ASAIK, during the summer, our payments revert to JA, but I may be wrong.
