I am considering purchasing a lely rake next year. I currently have a haybob. I was wondering what is the difference between the lely lotus rakes and the lely Stabilio rakes. Has anyone used the combi to rake grass? Are they worth buying or should I just use the rake for spreading out grass? Does anyone know how expensive a new rake is? I have been told they are light enough and alot of the second hand ones may not be great. Thanks.

A rake won't spread out grass just rake it in.i wouldn't bother with a rake, buy a 4 rotor Tedder second hand .i have a 15 year old lely stabilo 6 rotor Tedder ,cost me 5 k 4 years ago and I wouldn't be without it when making wraps or pit.

Sorry I meant to post lely tedder. What is the difference between the stabilo and the lotus combi tedder. Any idea what these cost brand new?

Were going to get extra veins for the mower here, and get a lad to rake it in the day after mowing. Should make better silage, anyone else do this?
