So the wife won a big (4kg) fresh ham in a draw at her works do on saturday. It is in a sealed bag (vacuum packed?) and I was wondering can anyone tell me what the shelf life in a fridge would be. Should it be frozen to get to Christmas or do we have to cook and eat it soon as??

Weeks at least if its vacuum packed, so you're sorted for Christmas so.

I'm afraid we can't offer food safety advice on this forum. Follow the guidelines on the packaging regarding freezing and use by dates.
