Is this a repeat of his show from 2/3 years ago?

Maybe it is? Just assumed it was current. Jerome Hughes.

Ah that chemist was lovely fair play to him :D

Yeah its a repeat alright. They've re-packaged it as being homeless at Christmas yet there are no Christmas lights on Grafton Street.

    TV3 on the cheap.

€20...more Abrakeebra so...wonder did that priest know it was a set-up. It would explain the €20 :pac:

Or maybe the priest showed genuine compassion and gave the donation on the spur of the moment.

    That's what I thought too.

I had real issues with this show to be honest.

First off, he thought he had it hard, opting to be homeless for 48hrs, you would swear he was homeless for years the way he went on. And then signing off the show saying, that there is hope out there for the homeless thanks to the generosity of others.

I doubt any real homeless person feels that way at any time, and especially not this time of year.

He got 20 euro off a priest, a bed for 2 nights in a hostel (which he only stayed one night, and looks like he went home on the 2nd night), got a small bit of change off people, a sandwich and a fanta off a student. Anyways, all this should have went to an actual homeless person that weekend, for all we know, that money, that bed, might actually have went to someone that really needed it, had he not been there taking it instead for this program.

For example, that Trinity Student, that was nice enough to come up to him and offer him a fanta and a sandwich was really nice and thoughtful, but I doubt the student would be too impressed learning that he gave food to this guy who didn't need it, who could have bailed at any time if the going got too tough for him.
