Hi Looking to buy OH a micro system or Reciever and speakers to attach a turntable to. what connectors should be on the system? The turntable has the red and white phono connectors. Is there any little gadget i can get to adapt a system if it does not have the red and white inputs? Also anyone can direct me to a good site that is affordable. tia

Can you give us the model number of the turntable ? Some have pre-amps built in, this would mean it will work with any amplifier with a line or AUX input. Some require the amplifier to have the necessary electronics to amplify the signal.

You can buy a preamp that will adapt the turntable to any amplifier without a PHONO input but with a line or AUX level input. How much it will cost depends on the quality you want. Maplin sell them too. You get what you pay for though, a lot depends on the kind of quality you're after. People have been known to pay thousands for these things !!

We can help you better with the model numbers of the turntable and the amplifier you want to connect it to.

    Ken
