I'm currently living in the US and will be traveling home for Christmas. I'd like to transfer a lump sum from my US bank account into my Irish account so I can use my Irish card, rather than incurring hefty penalties using my US card at home. Can anyone suggest the best method to do this? I've been looking at currency fair / currency.ie but not sure which is the best option or what else is out there.

    Thanks
