Dash cam clips.

Not sure where to post this, so apologies in advance.
My question is this. How do you select a part of a dash cam clip, say just one minute off a ten minute segment? I have Windows movie maker, which has this feature, but then saves the clip as a "wlmp" or something, as opposed to jpeg which is required.

Then, how do I upload it to this forum? Is it simply added as an attachment or is there a special technique?

    Thanks.

Exporting direct to Youtube is a pretty easy option. Trim the clip to size first, of course.

I use the trim tool on Windows movie maker. A JPEG is a picture file which is not what you need. You need to save it as one of the video file formats.

To upload, sign up to one of the free photo hosting sites. I use www.photobucket.com. Upload your video there and when its done it will give you a link that you can paste into your forum post.

Or export to Youtube from within Moviemaker and link from there as stated above.

So, I've done the necessary file changes etc. and uploaded it to youtube, so where do I find the "link" to post it on here? I've tried copying and pasting but get a message that it's an invalid file?

    Thanks again!

Open your youtube clip in your browser then highlight and copy the address in the address bar.

Then go to boards, submit reply to post a new message, click the Youtube button (which is second last on the right on the menu) which gives you opening and closing youtube brackets and paste your youtube address in the middle between them.
Click preview post to see if it looks ok and then hit submit reply if you're happy in order to post it.
