Borderline personality disorder

    Hi all.

    Thank you for taking time to read my post.

    I have realised over the last few months that I have a lot strong indicators for borderline personality disorder. I do not want to get a formal diagnosis as I feel this will have lots of negative impact on my career, however, I do wish to look into DBT. The problem is, I am finding difficulty gaining entry to a program in Dublin without a formal diagnosis.

    I have researched lots online about DBT and I feel it is quite effective.

    I have a crisis situation on the horizon (new relationship) and I am getting very tired trying to contain my emotions so I feel I need structured DBT to help me through either outcome.

    Any advise is so welcome

    Thank you for your reply :) I just cant decided focus on what is real and what is not right now. My brain is sooo tired :P

    Try st patrick's "living through distress" programme. It's based on DBT, and you don't need a formal diagnosis as far as I know.
