Focus 1.6tdci Engine system failure warning

My 08 1.6tdci focus 166km today flashed up the above warning and the car suffering a loss of power, turbo pipes all look clear, has anyone any knowledge on these? Could it be a dpf issue?

That's a general warning, it needs to be scanned to get the exact fault code.

Fords are quite fussy when it comes to diagnostic equipment. Most generic OBD type scanners won't extract all of the fault codes so make sure that it gets scanned somewhere with decent equipment.
