Does anyone know if its possible to pick up the UK/NI. freeview channels around Dublin (Tallaght area) with the appropriate roof top aerial?

    Thanks

Do you see anyone else with an aerial in your district?
A Freesat dish might be more reliable.

Thanks for the reply. I dont live there myself so i cant say if there are other aerials in the area or not.

My sister asked me to look into it for her. She picks up the saorview channels but thats with some form of indoor aerial.

There are experts here who can say more. But in general only a substantial exterior aerial will do the job, if at all, and in many cases it is less trouble to erect a satellite dish than such an aerial.

It's possible but not very practical.
Divis near Belfast works in higher parts of South Dublin.
    I wouldn't recommend a 15ft mast and long group A aerial,if there was never one there before..especially if it's a semi D house.

When it is possible though,it's a simple multi room system, that's a lot less complicated than a sat box in every room.(though there are tvs with sat connections).
