    Hi
Is there anyone on here that could plug into a car tomorrow morning belonging to a friend of mine? Engine light on and down on power. It's a 03 Clio.

Probably a pencil coil gone. You can diagnose it without a code reader by unplugging the coils individually. I found it very hard to get a code reader to communicate with them renaults so just done it that way.

Imaal auto services just off the cabra road (around the corner from the shops). Two lads there are Renault mechanics.

It does sound like a plug lead. But the misfire is only in it intermittently not when it's idling so plugging the leads out one by one makes the same difference. The coil and plug lead are all the one, doesn't look like u can replace a single lead.

Might give them a shout, not familiar with the area but I'll find them. How much roughly to get it plugged into??

Was about to suggest these guys as well. A girl I know with a Clio uses them and has no complaints.
