:( Folks , for the first time since I started using PM, a small packet is gone missing. In fairness I don't think its PM's fault, I suspect some light fingered Royal Mail worker helped himself. As it was 'unrecorded' ( uninsured ) the seller can't help me.
Can I claim back on my card provider and will they claim back from the seller.? I don't want to burn my boats with them. Anybody been through this.?

Is this an ebay seller? Did you pay by card or did you use the card through paypal?
There's no situation where it's not the sellers responsibility to get the item to you, unless this was a private deal. Any way you claim your money back, it will come from him.

Not ebay, standard card transaction through a website in UK.
My point is who has the onus to claim back.? It happened to me once before and the seller took the hit and sent a replacement.

If the seller isn't obliging, you'll need to contact your CC provider and start a charge back. This money will come from the seller.
The seller should still be able to claim up to £20 from Royal Mail, but that's for him to deal with.

:D Thanks, the package actually arrived this morning - posted on Nov 26.
Looks like patience is the name of the game around Xmas. Thanks for the advice.
