Make a house an office

    Hi all,

Ive just come back from looking at a house. Its on a central enough street which at one point would have been all residential, but now most of them would be doctors surgery's, solicitors offices etc.

The one I looked at today was up until last week a persons home and even though its stripped bare of all its furniture etc it still has a "homey" kind of feel to it.

Im on a small budget here unfortunately. Maybe 500-600euro at the very tops. How do I make this place feel professional.

The good news is, the only thing customers will ever see is the outside of the house, the hall when they come in and the main sitting room.

Every other room will be locked down and could be painted pink if I wanted.

The best thing you can do on this budget is paint the place. Don't go crazy with colours, go for neutral colours. It will make the place look a bit bigger plus all your furniture and furnishings will look better in a neutral enviroment

I probably should have mentioned but I have two lads (ones a painter, the other is a jack of all trades) who will do everything I need free of charge.

Great, you're laughing so. A couple hundred euros on paint will go a long way to making the place feel more professional. It might be an idea to wander into some of the other businesses that surround it in order to get some inspiration too.
