Should have done what your brother did.

I think it's to do with the sugar content of most cereals. It encourages children to eat the likes of coco pops which aren't very nutritious.

    Terrible loss
Won't somebody think of the children?

I wonder why the cereal manufacturers stopped doing it? Health & safety maybe?
Same goes for the ring that we used to find in the barmbrack at Hallloween, but thats also long gone . . .

Because cereal companies are mean *****. A box of generic cornflakes is like a quarter of the price of the real thing. But yet there is little difference in quality

    Political correctness gone mad.

Ya I don't know why they don't have them here anymore but anytime I go to France there are toys in all the children's cereals.

Just learn to chew instead of gulping it all down in one go ;)

It's the recession. The little feckers need to learn to do without. A few years of no plastic spiders ought to soften them up nicely. Real answer, some beller probably sued because little nigel choked on a mutant turtle. Hence no toys. boo.

They haven't unfortunately but they should. It's a case of trying to find it so you can throw it in the bin.

Tablespoon of Castor Oil would have done the job.

Data mining. It's more profitable these days to collect mobile phone/email/social media accounts and sell that information to advertisers.

The sugar in cereals dissolves any toys they put in there. :(

Probably belongs in retro. However, toys in cereals was the highlight of my growing up.
    There were:
    Miniature Captain Scarlet models
Aeroplanes, and an airport you could cut from the back of the packet.
Little figures that would walk across the table, pulled by a small weight on a string.
And animal heads, once again on the back of the box, which had to be assmbled (fit Tab A into Slot B)

Kinda eggs are illegal in America as they're considered a choking hazzard:confused: but are still on sale here, so I'm guessing it's just cost cutting by not putting any toys in cereal boxes.

They should do it the other way around as well. Every box of Lego could contain a tiny sachet of CHeerios.
