Can we hire Brazilians to build the Stadium? I hear they are pretty good at it.

Last time Ireland put in a bid to host it, the Nazis ended up getting it.

Assuming you don't care if the stadiums are not built on time, and don't mind if they get damaged by falling cranes.

We'll probably be in the middle of another recession then, so won't have the cash.

The number of athletes I see in tracksuits around the city bodes well for the future.

The equestrian events could be held in certain Dublin Northside suburbs that have established something of a tradition at that sort of thing, The diving coud be staged at that building on the quays that some folks have been using to get into the Liffey. A few more cycle lanes and we should be right for that sport. If the gymnastics were of the mental variety, who else to organise it but some CRC executives?

We should a 90,000 seater Olympic Stadium. But have it in Tullamore for the craic.

Ireland hosting the olympics would be nothing short of one of the greatest disasters to ever happen in this country.

Lets hope it never happens lads :D

Didn't FG's Gay Mitchell propose this years ago.

London was the closest we'll ever get to the games in our lifetime. The majority of those 'Olympians' we sent didn't actually do much did they? Our T&F were nobodies (particularly the women's relay team, joking and laughing after getting knocked out in a heat) Sonia O'Sullivan who was chef de maison of the T&F made a great point afterwards when Derval O'Rourkes handouts were being cut, Sonia said running is a professional sport nowdays, theres prize money on offer, you go out there and make it on your own. The Swimmers were a joke as usual.

Our saving grace came from the boxing contingent, Katie of course and also Cian O'Connor in the Showjumping. Rob Heffernan getting a fourth place in the 50k walk as well. They did us proud.

And don't forget the certain southside university athletics track for Usain Bolt, Jr. Just watch for the trenches.

Can't hold the running in the west of the city though, too confusing for the athletes, not knowing which gunshot they're supposed to start at.
