I did it. College accommodated doing it at the end of second year, now in fourth.

Was one of the most nervous things I ever did. Pass rate of 60% over both the papers and a sh*t load of studying. Way more difficult than anything we had done in college.

Five of us in our class did, but thankfully we all passed.

Can't make up my mind if I'd recommend it or not. I'd say only if your company is crying out for you to do it.

Did haulage. It's what my college course is mostly about.

    I'd say 8.5

I did it years ago. I remember it being difficult but it is no weight to carry. They cant take it off you unless you screw up. Witb an expanding Europe it will only get more difficult to obtain so my advice would be, if you have the time and im sure they want money, get it..

Cheers for that, apparently the haulage one is the more difficult of the 2,i'm just looking at it to use as a springboard into a decent job with Dublin Bus/Bus Eireann perhaps, constant study so no doubt?as the OP said?

I've been told it would all fall on my head yes,but havent heard of prosecutions against transport managers however i dont doubt for a second that it has happened and regularly so in this country

and more regularily in other countries. although with the new efforts by the rsa to put already hard pressed hauliers off the road. expect them to make an example of some soon.

The only thing about it is its globally recognised so it may be possible to put it into use in a country thats less corrupt than ireland,i dont want to leave but will do if need be
