Pure Telecom Authentication

    Hi there,
    I am with Pure Telecom and I am getting an Authentication problem when trying to connect today.
    This is when the internet light on the modem is red.
    Can somebody tell me the login and password you get from Pure when this happens as their damned "Technical Support" is closed for the weekend which I can't believe.
    Will have to moved away from such a limited service.

    Jesus they're a disaster. I haven't dealt with them in ages as most my customers who had the misfortune have long left them.
    Iirc, each customer is assigned their own unique log in credentials, not like Eircom/Vodafone who use the same for all. The username is probably your phone number incl area code and without the first 0. The password can only be gotten from them.

    If nothing has changed at your end then it's their problem at their end.

    I have been playing around with accessing the router IP through my browser and have got diagnostics to pass Authentication now but is failing at IP layer. It's progress but not enough. I rang Eircom to switch back and after being on hold for 25 mins I was told it would take 15 days for this to happen!!? WTF. Wonder why they don't mention this in their "sexy" switch back ads. All bollox IMO :(
