Yes, friend of mine saw it a few days ago, and wondered what year it was. He said it was a Land Rover, but it seems a little old for the car pictured.

The Discovery pictured supposedly has the original chassis rails from the 1972 Land Rover in it. (And if you believe that....)

Discoverys have the exact same chassis as the old range rovers

so why take out the existing one to replace it with an older, no doubt more rotten one? I'm sure I can't think of the answer!

€52 a year road tax for classic cars plus no tests on pre '80 vehicles and classic insurance at average €300. does it make sense now? ;)

other than that there'd be no other reason to re-body, personally I cant see the point at all, land rovers in general are badly constructed junk, a much better starting point would be a Mercedes G-Wagen 461 chassis re-bodied with a top of the range modern G wagen, that would make much more sense for the tight of fist.

Is there a list of the regs, years, and counties somewhere actually? Googled to no avail.

Didn't have the one I was looking for! Hence the request for a better source! :P It was a relative asking, they might have given me the wrong reg. Can't remember what it was now, I'll come back if I can't figure it out.

Ok, state the index mark of what you are looking for then. Someone round here might know if it has been issued or not.
