Hi I am looking at going onto job seekers allowance at the moment but I am recently living with my granda as he needs help with his day to day tasks.

How do I go about this address change ? Do I need to change all my bills and driving licence etc to my new address or can I just explain to the social office about the situation ?

    Thanks in advance

You should go down and discuss this with an information officer. One bill like gas, esb, would probably do. See what they say first and bring any proof that you have that your caring for your granda.

If he needs full time care then you should check out carers allowance/benefit

Your granda may be getting benefits because he is alone that may stop if you move in. how he gets better soon.

If you are caring for your grandfather then you will not be able to claim for job seekers as you will not be available for full time work.. You should apply for carers allowance and apply for supplementary welfare allowance while you are waiting for carers.
