Yes u can use a second hand box no problem, however you will need to ring sky to get the card paired to the box.

I would suggest making sure you know where the box has come from prior to buying, as if its a box that is froma broken contract i.e. someone cancelled before their 12 months is up Sky will not pair the card to it anymore.

do you not get a free box from sky when you order multi room? or multiscreen as they seem to call it now?

I think its just the basic Sky HD box without the Sky+ functions

Sky will only give you one free sky+ box at the beginning, if you want another you have to pay for the box, depending on the deal of the time it can be anywhere from 69-300euro unless you take the hd pack.

AFAIK you get a free Sky HD box when getting multiroom installed as more than likely it will result in a 12 month contract unless there was some sort of special offer available.

Yes, you get 1 Skt+HD box and 1 Sky HD box. Thats what I got a year ago anyway.
