Moved into an apartment that already had a really old 15inch CRT tv in it that we don't use.

But the TV licence inspector came so if we're gonna have to pay for a TV licence may as well get a TV worth using!

We don't want something ultra fancy but would rather not have a ugly crap TV either, we wanna try and get the best we can for under 400e. Looking at 37 - 40inch TV's for console gaming and movies.

Noticed 2 Bush TV's in argos but I can't find review of them anywhere. They don't have the model numbers on the site which I find odd. Also Googling reviews for TV's doesnt give me much information, unlike when I look up reviews for PC monitors :S

Anyway of the bush TV's on argos :

One is an LCD TV that looks like its 100hz.

The other is LED, newer looking but is only 50hz.

I read somewhere that higher hz is better but I dunno the details.

Can someone in the know give some advice here?

Anywhere else I could look outside of argos?

    Thanks in advance!
