No but generally if you do that it comes out as one long line of snot. So unless you sever it at the nostril with your fingers, it's going to dangle down onto your lips and in your mouth if it happens to be open.

When I was 2. It was, as I described it then, "yuk". Since then, I have never had the urge to taste what i have expelled from my body. I expelled that crap for a reason, I'm not going to put part of it back in!

I've always wondered what it is specifically about nose picking that repulses us so much?
Not that I'd do it myself in public, but I just find the difference in reaction amusing.

Person putting finger in ear/eye = generally no reaction at all
Person putting finger in mouth = maybe might get a look or two at best. little judgement passed.
Person putting finger in nose = "UGHHHH SICK!!NO EXCUSE FOR THAT"

Kinda funny too that in clearing something from your eye or ear, more likely than not you stand no risk of dying or getting extremely ill by not doing so, whereas things going in through your airways could potentially be life threatening. :pac:
