    Can you do a fas evening course whilst on a ce scheme?

    I did one in the past so unless they've moved the goalposts then the answer is yes. Check with your c.e Supervisor first.

    CE Schemes are all for training, in fact they'd probably send you on one anyway.

    Yes, training is heavily encouraged when on a CE Scheme. I'm almost finished mine now and in the 2 yrs I've been on CE I've done 5 different courses (Manual Handling, First Aid, Web Design, Payroll and Computerised Accounts). Your supervisor will have been allocated an allowance, I think it's about €500 a year per participant to be used for training. Any training you do must be Fetac awarded. Your supervisor will explain it all to you.

    My advise would be to make the most of any and all training thats offered to you or that you wish to pursue yourself. It will put you in a much better position for when your CE ends and your job hunting again.
