    Hi all,
I'm trying to stick acoustic sound proofing tiles to the inside of a cabin. They were originally on a separation wall thqtvi glued them to and it worked perfect. However, removing the tiles the glue remained and it won't come off. I pulled down the separation wall so wasn't the end of the world.

I'm trying to stick these tiles to the main wooden walls now. I dont want to use the glue that destroyed the walls. I tried double sided tape but the tiles would fall down within 24 hours. Can anybody recommend a non damaging way I can get the tiles to stick? For those unfamiliar to acoustic tiles, the material is similar to the spongey stuff you get as packing material.

    Thanks

You're not making it easy, sticky enough to bond to wood but not leaving a residue! Off the wall (excuse pun) suggestion here but how about wall paper paste or flour and water glue with salt? Would that wash off?

Hmm I'm not sure. Its solid Norwegian pine and the tiles are only to go up temporarily so don't want to leave the wood marked. The tiles are very light so I think that's why the tape didn't work.
