Thinking of getting this game - what do people think of it?

Obv can't compare to NFS Underground and the original most wanted but still a decent game.... I'll be getting it when I get my PS4

Playing it, having great time. 7 year old also loves playing it! Pity it is not 2 player but it is an always online game unless you change some settings, so there is no pausing the game, it plays on.

Thats annoying might wait for a different driving game so.

Yeah unfortunately it's pretty uncommon to have split screen car games these days :-(

But NFS Rivals is so fun, I haven't enjoyed a car game this much since Burnout and before that NFS Underground.

This, and COD:G, AC4 and BF4....clearly next gen have hit PS3 sales pretty hard. But a good deal to be had on a PS3 - PS4 digital upgrade.

best off to sign out of psn playing this unless you just want to mess about annoying people online
host migration is a c'unt, i had to earn 100,000 points in a single session
I had got up to around 95,000 odd then boom host migration and get reset to zero
the same thing happened while i was doing a trophy, i had to drive for 50 min in a ford then enter the garage
I was so close say a few min off then boom again host migration
all that time wasted :mad:

i never had people in my game since like the 1st time i played it and im always signed in. luckily i never had no problems then

Set the game to launch in Single player and turn overwatch off.

Outside of the fact that theres no particularly interesting titles at launch on either of the new systems PS4 or XboxOne which is to be expected to be fair, the price is another reason I'll be waiting at least a year before purchasing a PS4.

Yes the graphics wont be as good for the likes of Battlefield/NFS etc.. when I get the odd game on the 360 but for me anyway this is one of the reasons it makes it very hard to justify buying the new hardware right now.

I'd far rather buy the 360 version of whatever generic shooter/sports/racing game I want for now and when the proper exclusives and interesting titles start coming and prices fall in the next year or so thats the time to buy imo.

You'd probably get top dollar for it at the moment as well.

Anyway just my opinion man. Theres a hell of a lot of people who disagree with me though if you look at the PS4 and Xbox One sales figures.

I think if you have the likes of a 360 or PS3 at home like I and a lot of others do it gives you the choice to wait.

A friend of mine doesnt have a last gen console though for example so for him I can understand going straight for a PS4 or Xbox One.

All depends on your situation I suppose.

Just played this last night and was very impressed, graphics are amazing and i like the gameplay, was only on for a few mins but cant wait to use the online features over the weekend..

I really miss the pause button. FFS Its hard to get high scores for the events when I have kids to mind and jobs to do!

Options is both now. There's no pause in the NFS game though, unless you drive to a hideout.

Great game graphics looks suitably next gen and to be honest NFS (or any racer for that matter) hasnt grabbed my attention for the last number of years. This is very good though and with the limited number of games for PS4 atm its definitely up top of the list

finding it hard to do the cop career. just cant gold the hard hot pursuits. maybe with better cars theyll be alot easier so ill do easy ones until i rank up more

NOPE!

Easy and medium are ok, but Hot pursuits on hard are extremely tough. I had the Fastest Cop car available with max pursuit and still couldn't do a hard level hot pursuit. Just do rapid responses and Interceptors!

I got the Platinum now too!

im going for platinum too and leveling up on the cop career is such a grind for me compared to the racer career.

any tips? like what pursuit tech to use? im going to have to get the odd gold on hard hot pursuits but ill try minimize them. pain the the arse getting X ammount of SP when there is no multiplier either.

you beat me to resogun platinum, now NFS klair :mad: lol

EMP to shock em and then ESF to finish them. Beast mode with those two. Just get to level 60 and play as many easy races as possible. Go for the "Gold 100 Races" trophy in the Racer career as it's easier.

Its good bitta crack nothing to serious.. drive fast in cars that all sound the same but its fun annoying thing for me is you can't link drifting between corners.. Other then that its pretty good fun
