I recently got back with my ex last month after 3 months of us being apart, she was quite ill in hosp and started texting again, this went on for a while,we met up a few times and got back together. She is in college and this was the reason for our break up when she went back after summer. Last night was her first night out in months and when i text i got a drunk msg back saying how she was on the lash etc,i replied and then nothing since. I am a bit pissed off to why she hasnt told me how her night went,or should I be the one to text again and ask? She was online at 5am this morning because i was going to work. Should I be pissed off when we do talk or just play it cool?

    Sorry for the length lol.

If it was her first night out in months, she probably has the hangover from hell. Especially if she was out til 5am.

If you are really that anxious to know how she is, call her, otherwise I'd cut her some slack til tomorrow.

Yeah but then she will be heading to another town tomorrow night with her mates and i'll have to go through it all again,i know im probably being paranoid as hell but if it was the other way around id be in the dog house, its like she has me on a leash.

If you can't put the past behind you then you shouldn't have got back together - your comment about you being in the doghouse?

Why do you need to talk / text anyway? She was out, she'll be tired. Do you have to talk every day? Are you being possessive or untrusting?

I'm not sure I get what the problem is exactly, you guys broke up as she was in college (another part of the country i'm presuming). Got back together, she went out and replied to only one of your texts but was online at 5am (home and online drunk?).

Sorry if i've missed the point, but wouldn't it be better to speak to her sober? I mean if she's been out and its 5am, she's prob not been to bed yet, and if one person is sober and the other drunk, conversations can be messy.
Also if she's in college, nights out are pretty normal and its prob going to happen again, is the problem that she was out on the lash?

Also, you talk about being kept on a leash- can you go out with your mates? Would you be able to explain a little more?

Is this the same girlfriend that went all distant on you before and broke it off? (link here) If it is, there's a touch of history repeating going on here.

Either you trust her or you don't. It's as simple as that. If you're going to torture yourself wondering if/when/why she's going to text or not text, you'd be better off drawing a line under this and moving on.

OP this is your third thread on this relationship since September.
Please don't open another thread on this issue. Sometimes RI is not the right place for a problem and we cannot allow a user to repeatedly come here seeking advice on every aspect of their relationship. Looking at your other threads I think you got some excellent advice there that still stands, suggest you read those responses but as above please don't post here on this again, it isn't fair to others seeking advice or to those who have previously taken time trying to help you.
