    Hi Guys

I have a Ford Focus 2003 1.4 and my car started to make noise during breaking, noise come from left rear break, I have that noise especially when the engine is cold and it goes away after the 100 meters driving.

I have been to 3 different mechanic I have already replaced my rear break shoes, break cyliders and they also checked the bearings and some said they also cleaned the rust but I still have the noise coming from my break.

The noise is like an aircraft taking off or a Man Utd missed a goal  roaring !

I am going nuts here and I do not really know what to do or what causing this noise.

Could be the wheel bearing. Does it get louder with speed?

Check to see if there is a kit-kat stuck in it..

Maybe the mechanic did not apply any grease to the back of the brake shoes. The handbrake cable might need adjusting (brake imbalance), if it's not adjusted the same on each side the brake shoe could be making contact with the drum and would explain the noise.

The other thing I'm thinking is the drum could be heavily corroded or full of brake dust. I can't imagine how any of these parts could have been overlooked by 3 separate mechanics though.

Okay I have tried to record to noise when I break , somehow it was very hard to record that noise , if you listen to carefully between the 9 th and 12th seconds you will hear the noise when I break ( it is louder in real )

Try parking your car with the handbrake off over night just make sure its in gear sounds like you could have a sticking handbrake.

I think you have a baby stuck in there, by the sound of the audio.
