Cue Level Lower Than Master Output

When I cue the track that is playing through the master, should the cue and master meters be level with each other? On my mixer they aren't. It's not a major issue but I'm pretty sure they're meant to be the same.

Do you mean if you are listening to the master and cue on your headphones, the cue is much lower? Depends on the mixer but most allow you to adjust the mix level i.e. Master Vs Cue. I have mine set 50/50 so provided the channel gains are the same, they will be the same level.

Yeah that was it alright. My last mixer was different so it just seemed a bit odd at first. Cheers!
