    Hi all
after an hour on trainer road found it hard to concentrate as there was enough rubber coming off my tyre almost to compare it to a formula one car shedding from its tyre.

need a high compund tyre that wont blow up on me!only used the road tyre(michelin orium) twice but flywheel is heating up something serious and cutting the tyre a new one.

PS how much pressure should i put the fly wheel on the tyre,so that it pinches it a mm or 2?

    thanks

A standard indoor trainer tyre from any reputable brand should suffice. I had a a schwalbe and replaced it with a Tacx as it exploded a few weeks after buying it (must have been a bad tyre). Not much difference really between them I would say. Both tyres were blue to help distinguish them from road tyres btw.

I'd agree with pprendville, any dedicated turbo tyre will do fine.

I got a Vittoria Zaffiro Turbo Trainer Tyre from swimcyclerun and I don't notice any rubber coming off. It's also red which goes faster than blue.
