HP Pavilion DV2715NR Sound problem

    Hi Techies

    My GF's laptop is a HP Pavilion DV2715NR. A mate of hers 'upgraded' it last year and it lost the sound. I've tried downloading drivers from the HP site but nothing s working. Error tells me 'no media installed'?? Took out the Realtek driver and reinstalled, no good.

    Any ideas?

    The mate installed NVIDIA drivers last year, not sure if this is what killed the sound as I'm not technical.

    Its running on Windows 7 32bit.
